Vicar

The Rev. Dr. James A. Gibson III (Father Jai) began his service as vicar (pastor) of Church of the Holy Trinity, Grahamville, in February 2014. He was ordProfile_01ained to the Anglican priesthood by the Rt. Rev. Thaddeus R. Barnum in August 2005 after having served for 13 years as a pastor in the United Methodist Church. He was officially instituted as vicar at Holy Trinity by the Rt. Rev. Mark J. Lawrence, Bishop of South Caolina, in March 2014. In addition to his parish work, he has also served as a hospice chaplain and spiritual director at several Kairos weekends.

Father Jai is a graduate of Mercer University (B.A. 1987, M.L.S. 1989), Asbury Theological Seminary (M.Div. 1993), and the Robert E. Webber Institute for Worship Studies (D.W.S. 2017).
